Overview

Join ByteDance’s Global Payment team as an iOS Engineering Intern and help build secure, seamless and scalable payment experiences for millions of TikTok and ByteDance users worldwide. You’ll work closely with engineers, designers and product managers to create high-quality iOS features that power payments, commerce, and financial services across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Build and enhance iOS features that support payments, commerce, and financial workflows
Develop reusable components and modules to improve scalability of the payment client
Optimize rendering performance to deliver smooth, responsive mobile experiences
Improve code quality through refactoring, best practices and clean architecture patterns
Collaborate with product, design and backend teams to plan and ship user-facing features
Strengthen app reliability by identifying issues, debugging, and improving stability
Contribute technical documentation to support future development and knowledge sharing
Explore new mobile technologies and propose improvements to the team’s engineering toolkit

Requirements

Currently studying Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical degree
Comfortable programming in Swift or Objective-C and using Xcode
Familiar with iOS concepts like MVC/MVVM, Auto Layout, animations and data persistence
Basic understanding of networking, APIs and integrating third-party libraries
Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to learn new tools quickly
Passionate about mobile development and building great user experiences
Bonus: Any past iOS projects or interest in fintech/payment technology
