Overview
Tencent Cloud is seeking passionate engineering students to join its Cloud Reliability Engineering Internship Program. This internship provides hands-on exposure to the backend systems that power large-scale cloud infrastructure. Interns will work with senior engineers to troubleshoot service issues, perform root-cause investigations, and contribute to the reliability of Tencent Cloud’s global services. Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot issues across core cloud services, including compute, networking, storage, containers, and databases
- Analyze logs, system data, and incident reports to identify root causes of escalated problems
- Strengthen service reliability by helping refine monitoring systems and incident-handling workflows
- Work with R&D teams to reproduce defects, test scenarios, and propose technical solutions
- Develop or enhance internal tools and automation scripts that support engineering workflows
- Prepare documentation, incident summaries, and post-mortem reports to support continuous improvement
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
- Expected graduation in 2026 or 2027, with active student status during the internship period
- Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals, networking concepts, and distributed system architectures
- Proficient in at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, Go, Java, or Shell
- Familiarity with public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Tencent Cloud) is a strong advantage
- Strong debugging and analytical skills, with the ability to investigate deeply technical issues
- Comfortable communicating in both English and Mandarin; knowledge of other APAC languages is a plus
